Quick answers
The questions people actually ask, answered in a few sentences each.
What does it cost?
Per person, per month, including GST: $25 for an admin, $10 for a manager, $5 for a field worker. A typical eight-person crew (one admin, one manager, six in the field) is $65 a month. Billed monthly in arrears for the people active that month; no minimum spend, no lock-in contract. Full detail on the pricing section.
How does the founding offer work?
The first 20 companies lock in 30% off, for life. A slot is claimed when your company first adds a payment method. Starting a trial doesn't use one up. Once claimed, the discount shows on your billing page and on every invoice, permanently.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. The 14-day trial is full functionality with no card. If it runs out before you decide, the account goes read-only. Nothing is deleted for 90 days, and adding a card brings it all back.
What can each role see?
- Admins: everything, plus user accounts, billing and the company settings.
- Managers run the day-to-day: schedule jobs, crew and fleet, build the forms, post to the crew. No access to billing or user management.
- Field workers: their own schedule, the documents on their jobs, the Library, notifications (view, acknowledge, comment), photo upload to jobs they're booked on, and filling in forms. They never see the whole schedule, the client list or anyone else's work.
Where is my data stored, and who can see it?
In Australia: Dayboard is Australian-owned and hosted in Sydney, backed up nightly. Your records are never sold, never shown to advertisers and never used to train AI models. There are no trackers or analytics scripts on the site; the only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in. The privacy policy says all of this formally.
What happens if I stop paying?
If a charge fails you get an email, and Dayboard keeps retrying. It's usually just an expired card. If it's still unpaid after about 14 days the account goes read-only: everything stays where it is, you can still see and export all of it, and fixing the card wakes it up. Your data is never deleted while you're subscribed.
What happens when I cancel?
The account stays live to the end of the month you're in, billed at the end of it as always, since Dayboard bills for the month just gone. It then goes read-only for 60 days, still exportable the whole time, and is then permanently deleted. You see those exact dates on screen before you confirm, and you can reactivate any time before the deletion date. The whole flow is in Cancel, or come back.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, any day you like, not just on the way out. One button builds a zip with every record as a spreadsheet, every document in a folder tree, and a PDF of every submitted form. See Export everything.
Does it work offline?
Honestly: Dayboard is a website, and live data needs signal. Installed on a phone, the app itself opens instantly and shows a clear offline page when there's no coverage, rather than pretending. Forms are saved to the server as you type (the page says Saved as you go), so a dropped connection or a dead battery loses seconds of typing, not the form.
Do I need the App Store?
No. Dayboard runs in the phone's browser and installs from there: add it to the home screen and it opens full-screen like any app, no store, no updates to chase. Two minutes, step by step, in installing Dayboard on your phone.
How do I get help?
Email support@dayboard.com.au with your company name and what you were trying to do. For privacy questions specifically, it's privacy@dayboard.com.au.
